sunport is out of Early Access and has a full version 1.0, which means now is a good time to jump into the charming farming and adventure game available via Steam for PC and Mac.
While it’s easy to compare sunport To Stardew Valleysince both are immersive pixel farming simulators, sunport has a lot of content that stardew not. They have skill trees, different character races, and more of a quest-oriented story.
It’s extremely easy to get lost in the sauce while playing sunport, as there is no stamina to keep you in check. To help you orient yourself, we’ve listed a few tips to review before you begin.
There is no endurance, but keep track of the time
That’s right. You can just farm and mine until your heart is content. Roughly. They are limited in time, with a midnight curfew. However, you are free to do whatever you want with no restrictions as long as you are in bed by midnight.
Be sure to skim the dialogue if you usually skip it
Not only will the story dialogue tell you where to go, but some romanticizing characters will converse, which may increase or decrease their relationship points with you. If you choose the obviously rude answer, the characters won’t like it, so don’t just click randomly to get through the words. Try it and make the right decisions.
Keep your crafting stations running
Your raw materials like lumber and ore need to be converted into planks and poles before you can actually use them, but you don’t want to have to wait for them to be crafted. Keep the furnace and crafting stations running with basic materials (if you have them) so you don’t have to wait for them.
Don’t forget to replant some trees
Once you’ve cleared your farm, make sure you select a part of the farm to replant trees. Lumber is an important resource, so you shouldn’t have to search too hard for it.
Keep track of what your museum needs
Indeed, Sun Haven has bundles to fill that give you special rewards museum. You’ll definitely want to take a look and fill in what you can do for free loot. Some of these things require you to grow seasonal crops, so know ahead of time what to expect.
Take it easy with quests and story
You can complete most of the main story quests very easily. It may be tempting to go straight through them, but it might be better to take it slow and not rush too much. Progressing through the story will unlock new areas (and new farms to grow different crops), but managing multiple farms at once can be overwhelming for one player, so you might want to keep it simple.
You can unlock all these farms and areas and then just focus on one at a time. You’ll find that you’ll encounter some high-level monsters on your journey into these advanced areas, so keep that in mind as well.
Farming is not the be-all and end-all
In some other farming simulator games, farming is THE definitive way to make money, but in Sun Haven, money isn’t too much of an issue. While you need more money to expand your house, many things are bought with other specially earned currencies, and you don’t necessarily need money to upgrade your tools.
You can make ham while farming, but with no automatic watering system in place until later in the game, it’s difficult to keep up.
