Yes, it turns out the MS-Paint-lookin effect we used is not the way smoke should look. Instead, after moving to code (and due to recent attempts to decay the entire game), "pool" because Super Super 64
Converts "texture displayed incorrectly by game, resulting in pixels of black garbage." The repair simply "corrected the error by displaying the texture properly as the correct smoke.
