It is almost war of stars Day and just before May 4th, Microsoft announced a free trial for one of the best games based on George Lucas’ Space Opera series. I’m talking about Star Wars Jedi: Survivorthe sequel from 2019 Jedi: Fallen Orderand if you are a Xbox Game Pass As a subscriber, you can now play Respawn Entertainment’s action-adventure Soulslike for a full five hours.
Microsoft revealed Food: SurvivorThe five-hour free trial is available the Xbox Wire blog on May 2nd. Available to all Xbox Game Pass subscribers, regardless of the tier you pay for. You can play the 2023 sequel until May 5 at 11:59 p.m. PT / 2:59 a.m. ET. While this means you can spend the entire weekend embarking on Jedi Knight Cal Kestis’ journey to survive the tyranny of the Galactic Empire, you won’t be able to beat the game as it’s only a five-hour demo. EA Play is included with an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate membershipalthough, and Food: Survivor can be played via this additional service. Although it’s unclear whether your test save data will carry over to the full version (My city I reached out to Microsoft and EA for clarification), you can still play it in its entirety this way. In any case, you should definitely check this out Food: Survivor out, especially if you’re a fan of both Dark souls-adjacent games and the war of stars Franchise.
A sequel to the super classic from 2019 Jedi: Fallen Order, Food: Survivor begins just five years later. Cal Kestis, a hunk of a Jedi Knight, continues his fight against the Empire as a resistance fighter under the uprising guard Saw Gerrera. Using his various Force powers and customizable lightsabers, block, dodge, parry and strike Stormtroopers, Sith Lords and alien monstrosities as you attempt to end the Empire’s rule. It’s a solid game built on that foundation Jedi: Fallen Order laid down, with My city‘s review explains Food: Survivor‘s size short and sweet:
The characters are more detailed and their conflicts are compelling and relatable. Remarkably, the level design is such that “Metroidvania” is a stupid-looking word that means so much. And when it comes to combat, there are so many different ways to brutalize droids and stormtroopers that the combo video community will enjoy for years to come. It’s a hearty stew, even though You still have to watch the sodium.
Next to Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is a free trial version of Headbanger: Rhythm Royale, a casual multiplayer party game about becoming the best headbanger. It’s cute, it’s silly, and it’s a great way to spend some time with friends this weekend. If you don’t dominate the TV Food: Survivor, that is. Which, let’s be honest, you absolutely should do.
Anyway, it’s almost May 4th, which means we’ll probably see more war of stars-related freebies and treats at the start of the weekend. May the fourth be with you.
