Taika Waititi (Thor: Ragnarok) and Michael Fassbender (X-Men: First Class) have teamed up for a football film – deliberately not called football in the trailer. The film is called Next goal winsand the first trailer premiered on Wednesday. Next goal wins is scheduled to hit theaters on November 17th.

The film follows a disgraced soccer coach, played by Michael Fassbender, who is sent/condemned to coach the American Samoa national team, which happens to be one of the worst national teams of all time. As you’d expect with such a premise, the team consists mostly of underdogs who are likely to melt Fassbender’s cold football coaching heart with their dreams of scoring at least one official goal one day.

Next goal wins is written and directed by Waititi. In addition to Fassbender, the film also features Elisabeth Moss (mad Men), Will Arnett (arrested development), Oscar Knightley (Hunt for the Wilderpeople) and Uli Latukefu (young skirt).
