destiny 2: Season of the Hunted is here, bringing with it at least five new Exotics.
At the time of writing, there are two new Exotic Weapons and three Exotic Armor pieces. The Trespasser sidearm is from the Season Pass, while the new Heartshadow sword is from the upcoming Duality dungeon. The Titan Exotic focuses on Void 3.0, while the Hunter and Warlock Exotics both benefit from Solar 3.0.
While it’s always possible that Bungie will have an exotic quest hidden later in the season, these are the only five exotics currently in the Season of the Haunted collection. As usual, all armor exotics come from the daily Lost Sector. Here’s what each of the exotics does.
intruder
Trespasser is the seasonal Exotic that comes from the Season Pass. Players who own the Season Pass can claim it immediately, while Free-to-Play players must first reach Season Rank 35.
A returning exotic of the original determination, Trespasser has seen some improvements. His exotic perk is Unrepentant, which causes it to reload after kills to make the next invader longer and much stronger (called a super burst). The secondary perk Be the Danger causes kills with the longer burst to instantly reload your weapon and load another Super Burst.
Trespasser also has a Catalyst, which comes from a quest Banshee-44 gives you.
heart shadow
Heartshadow is a new Exotic Void sword from the Duality dungeon. It appears to be a randomly rolled exotic, meaning you can acquire it from the dungeon multiple times for a different third benefit. There are several triumphs in the game that you can earn if you want to increase Heartshadow’s drop rate.
His exotic perk is Unearth, which unleashes heavy attacks with full sword energy to turn the Guardian invisible and fires explosive Void projectiles. Its secondary perk is Shot in the Dark, which grants bonus damage to Heartshadow if its user remains invisible for an extended period of time. Using the projectiles in this polished state weakens the target.
Second Chance (Titanium Gauntlets)
Second Chance boosts Void Titans. His exotic perk is Myrmidon’s Reach, which allows shield throw melee to penetrate barrier champions. There are also shield throw two charges.
Rain of Fire (Warlock Legs)
Rain of Fire enhances Solar Warlocks. His Exotic perk is Soaring Fusilier, which causes air dodges to reload all weapons and improve the effectiveness of Fusion Rifles and Linear Fusion Rifles while in the air. Finishing blows with Fusion Rifles and Linear Fusion Rifles grant the Radiant buff to Guardians.
Caliban’s Hand (Hunter’s Arms)
Caliban’s Hand empowers Solar Hunters. His exotic perk is Roast ‘Em, which causes proximity meters to scorch targets with splash damage or ignite on a direct hit. Throwing the knife without it exploding provides increased weapon regeneration.
