Actor Gerard Butler? Yeah, that’s strange news, look, I’m just reading something You send me.
As revealed in a recent press release, Ark: the animated series, first announced at The Game Awards on Thursday night, offering a new enhanced look that features the animated adventures based on the hit video game get a sequel. The continuation plays the main role Vin Diesel, which is weird for a custom character game – and Diesel is also joining Studio Wildcard, the company behind the game, to work on both the sequel and the show as President of Creative Convergence. I’m pretty sure they just made something up.
Anyway, the show, created by Studio Wildcard, Ark: the animated series will work Gerard Butler, Michelle Yeoh, Devery Jacobs, Elliot Page, David Tennant, Karl Urban, Jeffrey Wright and Russel Crowe, among others. Set in the mysterious World of Ark: survival evolved, set in a mysterious, supposedly primitive world with dinosaurs again, follows the 21st century Australian paleontologist Helena Walker, who wakes up on the ark and has to find out how she can survive. If the game is a clue, she will tame dinosaurs and cut many trees.
The show is performed by Studio Lex + Otis with music by Gareth Coker (Ori and the Will of the Wisps, Halo: Infinite), Executive producer and co-showrun of Jay Oliva, who directed DC animated features such as his adaptations of The dark knight returns and Flash point. The scripts are in production by lead authors Marguerite Bennett and Kendall Deacon Davis. Check out the trailer below.
So far, the show has no home to broadcast. However, the show is still slated for 2022 and will be produced for a contract over two seasons and fourteen episodes.
