His Majesty may provide comedic relief and possibly the most accurate portrayal of a cat you’ve definitely met before, but Myshka is my baby. You can see this poor thing walking around in the alley outside Bonecloak’s Apothecary in Baldur’s Gate and he will ask you if you are his mom in his hilarious Mriaer dialect. Because if you don’t save its owner, Baelen Bonecloak, in Act 2, the poor guy dies, leaving Myshka semi-stranded. There is a secret quest where you can reunite him with Derryth Bonecloak, so keep an eye out.

If you can’t complete this quest, you can always tell Myshka that he is actually your son and he will follow you around the immediate area until you get too far away. It’s rare to find a cat so affectionate with strangers, so Myshka’s friendly nature and heartbreaking story make him my favorite cat in the game. Sure, he doesn’t say much, but he needs help! What kind of monster looks at these baby blues and doesn’t immediately fall in love?
