The Skywalker saga is complete Clone Wars The animated series has come to an end (so to speak) and one of the best Star Wars stories ever told takes place between seasons. But Star Wars: The Phantom Menace is coming back to cinemas on the occasion of its 25th anniversary and is attracting attention significant income at the box officeThis causes viewers to either reconsider their original view of the film or double down on their opinion the first time around. On a return visit phantom makes you want to rewatch more Star Wars, which should be pretty easy in the streaming age. Disney Plus offers all the films and series that are currently canon (and some that are not).
But what’s the best way to watch it all? After George Lucas released his prequel trilogy, Star Wars fans debated the order in which they should devour the series. Now, with three trilogies, a few spin-off films, a few animated and live-action series, and at least two spin-offs of spin-offs, the “right” way to watch the Star Wars saga is even more complicated . With that in mind, here are a few different orders to watch, whether you’re a long-time fan looking to revisit the films and series or a newbie who needs a Star Wars crash course.
Watch Star Wars in chronological order
This order of consideration does not require much explanation. This is how the events of the Star Wars universe occurred in the BBY (Before the Battle of Yavin) / ABY (After the Battle of Yavin) timeline. It begins with the earliest events and moves forward in time from there. Several of these may happen at the same time, but that’s not our fault.

Watch Star Wars in Skywalker Saga order
Get inspiration from internet celebrities Ernst Rister Order – originally taken from a now deleted forum post – used this list A new hope And Empire Strikes Back in preparation for the prequel films and puts more focus on Luke Skywalker. When you watch the movies and shows this way, you know where his family comes from.
This order differs from the Skywalker story after both Revenge of the Sith And Return of the Jedi, but it gives you much better context for Anakin’s heroics during the Clone Wars and sets up his redeeming moment when he sided with Emperor Palpatine for Luke. As the new trilogy begins, Luke remains the focus.
The trickiest part of this order is the very muddy middle section, which focuses on a few different things for a while, including Mandalore, a few Mandalorians, and Ahsoka, rather than Luke and the Skywalker family – even if they do show up every now and then.

Star Wars in…Watch Galaxy Brain Order
We recommend this playlist to those who have seen Star Wars so many times that they want to top it off with a truly strange experience. This doesn’t complement any individual character or storyline as much as the series as a whole. This order is intended to help you catch all the little references from one film or series and connect them to the next – although you’ll probably still miss a few.
The first few entries focus on the rebellion. Then, at the deepest moment, we switch pages to Anakin to see how he became Darth Vader and how the Empire came to be gained control of the galaxy. Afterwards we see the fall of the empire Return of the Jediand the consequences in The Mandalorian And Book by Boba Fett.
Ahsoka also fits in a bit strangely in this order, as she just jumps in and out of the story after her introduction Clone Wars – which, while narratively odd, is most consistent with how she actually operates in the series.
The final strange part of this order is the repositioning of the new trilogy with Han as a more central figure. We see his family struggling The Force Awakensand then find out about his backstory Solo. This command results in Luke giving Leia Han’s lucky dice The Last Jedi into a slightly more important moment and makes it clear that Luke is trying to ease some of the pain he caused Han’s family.
Note: If you want to complete this order to the end, we recommend you watch it A new hope until the planning meeting for the Battle of Yavin. Switch to at this point Villain OneWatch the whole thing, then watch Andor Season 1, then return to the rest A new hope. This way, Villain One plays a bit like a heroic flashback for the rebellion.
