If you’re determined to use this planet, do yourself a favor and save it before landing, as finding this exact location can be difficult.
My experience has been that Vash Cowaii’s video seems to make finding this spot easier, but I personally had trouble getting to the exact spot where the three biomes intersect. So I usually prefer to choose other planets and moons for a starter outpost. However, the advantage of mining four vital resources in a single location without having to send resources back and forth between planets saves a lot of time and hassle. Your mileage may vary.
Other great starter planets
If you cannot find the exact location on Bessel III-b as highlighted above, you should still prioritize finding a planet and a location rich in as many of the four essential resources mentioned above. These planets include Tau Ceti I and V and Eridani II. Androphane in the Narion system is another favorite.
Aesthetics and quality of life considerations
