I remember the first PlayStation I ever had wasn’t even real Mine, it was someone I and a couple of boys lived with in England bought and divided. And while it worked, It was in the worst possible condition, covered with stickers and chip dust and beer stains and God knows what else.
Fast forward a couple of decades and after working on this website for so damn long I got used to the only PlayStation console I see these days being the one from the Wikipedia page, everything pristine and flawless and looked like it had just been taken out of the box. This is not what real PlayStations from the 90s looked like! They looked like shit!
So it was a nice visit ArtStation today and see the work of environmental artist Luke Hewitt, whose Replica of a used and popular PlayStation that’s exactly how I remember my first. The stickers, the dirt, the dirty memory cards, everything is perfect.
You can see more of Luke’s stuff on his ArtStation page.
