Amouranth is a household name on Amazon’s live streaming platform. With over six million Twitch followers (and millions more on Instagram and YouTube), Amouranth is by far the most well-known female creator of the purple streamer, alongside Imane “Pokimane” Anys. She’s been in hot water before, particularly for regularly streaming in skimpy bikinis, but that hasn’t stopped her from ranking high on Twitch. Despite received some bans in the past
Amouranth’s twitch ban appears to be temporary for now
As discovered by Dexerto, Amouranth is now banned for the first time since October 2021. As usual, when a creator is booted from the platform, their channel will display the default text: “This channel is temporarily unavailable due to a violation of the Twitch Community Guidelines or Terms of Service.” Interestingly, she hasn’t since at least May 1st streamed more, suggesting that perhaps something in one of their videos-on-demand (VODs) led to the ban. However, since her channel has been atomized, you can’t see her content, so at least for now, there’s no way to determine why Twitch decided to ban her.
At the time of writing this article, Amouranth and Twitch have not said anything publicly on the matter. my city asked Amouranth for comment. A Twitch representative shared my city that it does not comment on specific individual streamer bans.
Despite this lack of explanation Dexerto came up with an interesting theory that might explain the ban. The publication speculated the burgeoning drama between Amouranth and fellow streamer Adriana Chechikwhat escalated on April 27, when Amouranth responded to Chechik’s call: “a fucking cunt‘ by saying she wants to fight them in a ring – most likely a reference to Creator Clash, an annual charity boxing event that started in May 2022 – could be the reason behind Amouranth’s recent Twitch ban.
According to Twitch’s Community Guidelines, it’s all about violence and threatsany violation of its rules on or off the platform may result in a temporary suspension or permanent ban depending on its severity.
“Acts and threats of violence are counterproductive to promoting a safe, inclusive, and friendly community,” the guidelines state. “Violence on Twitch is taken seriously and is considered a zero-tolerance violation, and all accounts associated with such activity on Twitch will be suspended indefinitely.”

Internet personality Dalauan “LowTierGod” Sparrow was banished End of April. And both Cloud9 streamers Hans “Forsen” Fors and Kai Cenat, the new king of twitchwas temporarily banned last month before their channels were restored a week later.
