The end of the 2nd season of The young, saw Hughie (Jack Quaid) admit that he was fed up with outdoing the mega-bad Vought Corporation. “I still want to fight Vought,” he says. “I just want to do it right, not with quite as much guts.” But if the trailer for The young Season 3 is a hint that a lot more people are about to explode on Hughie and Friends.
The trailer, released by Prime Video during their panel at SXSW 2022, teases many gory antics as The Boys continue to try to bring down Vought and The Seven. Perhaps most interestingly, Billy (Karl Urban) got himself some laser eyes?
Furthermore, The young Once aga in, it takes aim at some of our pop culture favorites, cynically parodying things like Kendall Jenner’s Pepsi commercial (this time featuring an A-Train offering a cop a can of “Turbo Rush”) and Super Boy bands – alongside maybe a musical number in between Kumiko (Karen Fukuhara) and Frenchie (Tomer Kapon)? There’s also a brief glimpse of an American flag dildo; make of it what you want. In essence, everything is very consistent with the brand The young
The trailer doesn’t offer as much detail as glimpses of where everyone is after Stormfront. But as seen in the trailer, the new season brings back stars Quaid, Urban, Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Dominique McElligott, Laz Alonso and Chace Crawford. Also joining the team is Jensen Ackles, who has finally been freed from the confines of supernatural (presumably) being a foul-mouthed Captain America analogue.
Season 3 of The young will debut on Prime Video on June 3 with three episodes. New episodes of the eight-episode season will be available every Friday.
