A.A. The crowd
They dominated the box office and dominated the cultural conversation. Now, the big celebrities have arrived for the awards season, too. A year later Black Panther has collected dozens of Oscar titles in major and technical categories, anywhere recognizing the cape-and-cowl genres seem to have disappeared into the air like that obsolete Avenger ashen. This morning, it was not Marvel but a rival of a city that had reason to celebrate, as a superhero-close Joker-The origin story of self-reflection is probably one of the most popular comic book critics – earning 11p Award nominations, more than any other movie. If you think we've all finished talking about that lightning rod of repetitive feelings, the joke is on you.
For us, we, too, entertain the idea of JokerDivorce — it came from us a very bad list, and many others – it might cost me some money this season of the prize. The film comes from just about anywhere that the Academy would respect (probably poor Robert De Niro couldn't ride the wave of one of his best actors), including Best Director. I'm a person who doesn't believe in a movie more than many of my peers and colleagues, but in a year with such a long range of amazing films about women, I failed at least one of the five places in this category by a glorified Martin Scorsese cosplayer? Especially when the real Scorsese is there, too.
The list of the best and most effective Best Director nominations is far from over – I bet myself on Jennifer Kent, or the more brutal movies as The Nightingale I'm not used to getting so hot on Oscar night. The obvious oversight here is Greta Gerwig, who Young Women (which earned Best Photo nominations) is a serious and costly mistake, not in the least part due to the wonders he made of frequently altered objects. The Academy, loyal to fighting shyness even after #OscarsSoWhite, continues to show favorites only on two different camera lists. The substitute words are more whiter hair than the ones given BAFTA. Two of them are not in the limelight: Jennifer Lopez, who has just returned to her prime position as a high-profile crime queen. Hustlers widely viewed as the key to Best Supporting Actress; and Lupita Nyongukho, who failed to do what Daniel Kaluuya did two years ago, received the nominations for Jordan Peele's selection, despite being two. Us the performance is terrible.
There are a few other shocks. The school has continued its practice of ignoring unrealistic events by refusing to choose fun Apollo 11, probably the most-named document of the year. Frozen II I didn't make the cut for the animated feature (or its single title, "Anonymous," which will compete with Best Original Song). Also Two popes, a DOA -like movie this season of awards, has received points in Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor, and Best Adapted Screenplay.
Depending on the pleasant surprises, I was very happy to see a picture of Jarin Blaschke and it had black and white pictures. Lighting–possibly the most bizarre film ever made for Oscar this year–makes excellent Cinematography cut. And it's good that James Gray's movie is finally part of the Oscar race, either Ad Astra it is not a chance for a snowball to win the Best Sound compilation.
What surprised you, Katie, for pleasing her or otherwise? Any significant icons you'd like to remove here?

Depending on the initial stage of every male, Gerwig is quite obvious. Florence Pugh even noted her inner sadness his reaction to his exaltation of the Best Supporting Actress, saying in a statement that Gerwig "made a film about women working with their relationships and money and their relationships and working in the male world. Young Women it's about, so it (snub) only emphasizes how important it is – because it happens. However, I might like to see the names of Lulu Wang and Farewell, which successfully found the emotional truth of the story in the autobiographical story, as well as Celine Sciamm and Drawings Of Lady On Fire, a film with a hint of subtle and subtle action. And as long as we are extolling praise to Scorsese pastiches, why not better Lorene Scafaria's annual guide Hustlers?
On the players' side, I was pleasantly surprised to see that Antonio Banderas was nominated for Best Actor for Pain and Glory, another film with a meta-story — director Pedro Almodóvar who played a major role in introducing Bandera's work in the '80s — developed what we see on screen. I didn't think the School would give it to him, though, for the same reason The lungs closed without active phases. To put it simply, School voters seem to have difficulty in measuring performance tests in languages other than English, which The lungs Director Bong Joon Ho continues to show shyness for Americans to use subtitles. I wonder where that role play played a role The lungs getting the six names found, which was way beyond my expectations. The film is brilliant, but one can never be too brave when it comes to Academy & # 39; anonymous voters., Anything other than medium-sized studio films that include white men.
The Academy's long-standing controversy over not doing good comedy also hurt Adam Sandler – and he didn't even bring the jokes! Though I love this film, I'm not too surprised to see Eddie Murphy taken Dolemite My Name, because this film has been an extremely quiet one in the awards cycle this year. (Depending on the program's lower credits, however, it's a shame that the school has won the Best Costume Design Award last year, Ruth E. Carter, for her work Dolemite. This is a recommendation that I thought might be possible for this film, especially considering how much Education loves the repeaters.) But I was really surprised to see Sandler, too Do not remove Stones usually, off, it's given a buzz around his frenzied performance in that multi-layered film. When Sandler followed his threats to make a very bad movie after being locked out of the Oscars, we will deserve whatever we get.
