Before you dive into the series, you should know that the Dragon Age Games are… an unwieldy bunch, to say the least. Although some of them have been released to great acclaim, like inquisitionothers have not, and time has been equally kind and cruel to the larger series. One of the bigger problems that seems to have held the games back in the past is that it felt like Dragon Age There was a lack of a coherent vision underlying the whole. For example, Origins is a hardcore CRPG and you should never play it on a console like I did (twice), while the immediate sequel was a much more intimate and stripped down action RPG with light CRPG elements.
