The Fallout 3 reveal led to threats and additional security at Bethesda

Stand out is one of the biggest things in the world right now thanks Amazon’s hit TV show. Before all of this, however, there was a time when Stand out as a franchise seemed dead. Then Bethesda entered, bought the IP in 2007and announced plans Fallout 3, revival of the post-apocalyptic RPG series. And then the company was flooded with death threats.

In a new video about designing the creatures Fallout 3 And 4former Bethesda character artist Jonah Lobe shared stories about all the planning, work, and details that went into iconic monsters like the Deathclaw and the Radroach. I had no idea Milelurks was there Fallout 4 were inspired by the Droidekas in war of stars, and now I do it. It’s a great video full of information about how it was made Fallout 3 And 4 and you should check it out.

Lobe – who helped create the modern Deathclaw and who is it? impressed by all the monster’s porn out there – also speaks honestly and openly about the negative reaction from angry, toxic, die-hard people Stand out fans upon learning that their beloved series was being restored by the same studio The Elder Scrolls.

“When it was announced that Bethesda was going to take over Stand out There was a lot of excitement, a lot of enthusiasm and a lot of death threats in the franchise.” Lobe explains in the video.

“I know it might shock you to learn that not every player is a wonderful person. And Stand outI’m sorry to say that there were an above average number of dissatisfied fans. For this small but very vocal community, our attempt to revive the franchise was nothing short of sacrilege. For the first time ever, Bethesda had to hire a security guard.”

I spoke to Lobe about this detail via Instagram and he couldn’t provide any further details because it was “kind of too long ago” and he couldn’t remember many other details.

“But I remember there was a lot of poison in places like… [Fallout fan site] No mutants allowed,” Lobe added. He also told me that he and other developers at Bethesda were not “privy” to many of the details of the threats and required security, adding, “Because obviously we were protected from a lot of it.”

In the end, of course, Bethesda’s Fallout 3 would bring the franchise back to life, spawning sequels, spin-offs, expansions, thousands of mods and now one complete live-action blockbuster TV showwhich is got a second season.

Despite the threats, Bethesda went ahead with its plan to revive the franchise. Many thanks to developers and artists like Lobe who brought their own creative ideas and contributions to the games, making them hugely popular role-playing games with millions of fans around the world. Not bad for a revival that some toxic fans have experienced before Fallout 3‘s release – it would supposedly ruin any chance of the series ever continuing.
