Blizzard shared a long list of surveillance 2 Sticky Notes Today we’re detailing the changes being made to the first-person shooter, just over a week after the start of the Player-versus-Player closed beta.
In addition to eliminating bugs like crashes and easily abused level geometry, surveillance 2The first beta patch introduces a variety of buffs and nerfs to its various heroes.
The jack-of-all-trades Soldier: 76, for example, was apparently “overtuned” and “extremely mobile,” at least according to the developers. His movement speed when using his Sprint ability is reduced by 10% to compensate.
The lovable squishy Roadhog, on the other hand, was “below average” and frequently died while using his ultimate. As such, Whole Hog is being changed from a “channeled” ultimate (e.g. Cassidy’s Deadeye) to a “transformational” ultimate (e.g. Winston’s Primal Rage).
Blizzard believes this will make Roadhog “more interesting, effective, and fun” to play while giving it the ultimate added flexibility.
surveillance 2 player respond to the update seem to particularly like Zenyatta’s improved Snap Kick, which now deals 50% more damage and knocks enemies farther away from the vulnerable support character.
“We understand that 5v5 has made support heroes feel more vulnerable, and we wanted to give Zenyatta tools to put distance between him and enemies,” the patch notes read.
As for the support characters overall, Blizzard has also detailed how it plans to address them community concerns about the general vulnerability and lack of role variety compared to tanks and damage dealers.
“Long term, we believe the most effective way to address this issue is to add exciting new support heroes to the game, and that’s part of our plans,” according to a Blizzard blog explained earlier this week. “In the near term, our hero design team is also experimenting with significant, but shorter lead times, ideas including new and refreshed abilities for some existing support heroes.”
However, the blog adds that any major changes that might be coming to hero support will likely miss this current beta test.
surveillance 2The closed beta of is not yet complete and is scheduled to run until May 17th.
