Disney Plus dropped last season 1 episode High School Music: Music: Series& # 39; On Jan. 10. The entire season of the theater wrapped in one final call.
But if you're out of the theater (or, just click your Disney Plus tab), you've missed the important entry.
That's right, baby, we're talking about High School Music: The Musical: Series: Post-Credits Status.

After the end of the episode – with the closing of the ship and other amazing hooks for the upcoming season (When Will You Stay at East High or Follow His Dreams? How Will Gina Come Back?) – fans find an event where Big Red (Larry Saperstein) shows off his tap dancing talent in an empty gym it is full of confetti.
The setup feels familiar to anyone who knows the original High School Music. The scene of the reveal at the end of the movie featured a young character Zeke (the A basketball player who says he likes to bake during the "Stick to the Status Quo") walking alone in a gym packed with festivals.
Much like the original – in which Shararpay, Zeke declared himself in love, ironically, so happy with the cookies he made and threw at her – Big Red's love might have finally been Ashlyn. The episode revealed that earlier, a large group of flowers from the stadium had been sent to Ashlyn to receive Big Red. As before High School Music, Ashlyn surprises Big Red, throws it at her, and gives her a big ol & # 39; smooch.
The same is true, though the characters fulfill different roles than their OG movie counterparts: the whole HSMTMTS, Big Red was bigger than the usual flyby shy relief, its close relationship with Ricky being an important source of drama, and Ashlyn – who plays MR Darbus, a fellow Robotic captain and high priest of the Salt Lake City Renaissance Faire – is one of the most entertaining female characters well, they're not good at television. HSMTMTS it is well-crafted in the natural forms of high school by turning seemingly antagonistic characters into sympathetic characters. No naughty Sharpay girl, a bunch of teenagers wrapped in a love of theater, gets what we want in life.
HSMTMTS is renewed for a second season, which is set to start sometime in 2020.
