The first trailer of the movie Five Nights At Freddy’s can be seen here

The Five nights at Freddy’s The horror game series may be celebrating its tenth birthday, but for a huge market – mostly kids, although they were never originally targeted – it’s still big business. Which, along with the nostalgia for older players, might just explain why Now Is FNaF get a movie.

The film, which hits theaters in October, has just released its first trailer, and last but not least, it looks incredibly faithful to the source material:

Five Nights at Freddy’s | Official teaser

The film follows a concerned security guard who starts working at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. As he spends his first night on the job, he realizes that surviving the night shift at Freddy’s isn’t going to be easy.

This film has been a long time coming! Not only because the franchise itself is so old, but also because plans for a big screen adaptation date back to 2015. when we first posted that Warner Bros. was interestedwith Roy Lee from Vertigo Entertainment (Run all night, The ring, The resentment) attached, along with Seth Grahame-Smith and David Katzenberg of KatzSmith Productions (Abraham Lincoln vampire hunter And Pride and Prejudice and Zombies).

This project died two years later than the series creators Scott Cawthorn was released on Steam in February 2017:

Hello folks,

I know I promised some movie news by the end of the month, so here it is. However, keep in mind that there are still some very important discussions going on, so the amount of information I can share is extremely limited. In fact, even the information I can pass on has to remain somewhat cryptic.

The reality is that the FNaF film experienced several delays and obstacles last year, some of which caused problems within the film industry as a whole. So the film is currently back at the very beginning.

However, depending on your point of view, that’s not necessarily a bad thing. That’s bad because the movie is still in its infancy (so don’t expect a trailer anytime soon), but it’s good because I want to make sure the right movie is being made, and things are up for now the right way to make that happen.

I’ll also be involved in the film from day one this time, and that’s very important to me. I want the fan community to enjoy watching this film.

Since then, the film has made its way to Universal, weathering everything from personnel changes (though Cawthorn has stayed connected throughout) to script issues.

Five nights at Freddy’s Stars Josh Hutcherson (The hunger Games) as Mike Schmidt, and Matthew Lillard (!) and Mary Stuart Masterson (!!) will also appear. The film hits theaters on October 27 and will be released simultaneously on NBC/Universal’s Peacock streaming service.
