Vampire Survivor, the breakout game – no – genre of 2022, released its full 1.0 edition just over a month ago, towards the end of October. But if you’ve been worried that means the developer poncle is done, put your worries back in the worry case, close the lid, close the latches, and update your edition to the freshly released 1.10 version. Along with a few minor details, the patch called The Tiny One adds an intriguing new challenge stage, and it’s a very narrow bridge.
The Tiny Bridge Stage is unlocked by reaching level 80 in the Inverse Gallo Tower, and once open it offers the most ridiculous challenge: a single track where you need to tweak some very specific skills to have any chance of surviving.
Capturing that moment in regular game where you realize you’re hopelessly trapped, and then doing whatever it takes to somehow survive it, the whole concept sounds ghastly. And therefore fantastic.
Also, Seal Power has been added in this post-release update High. According to the update information:
Sealing a weapon automatically adds it to the banned weapons list at the start of a run. Sealing an item does not remove the item from the loot table, but instead turns it into a gold coin, meaning it has no impact on standard drop rates.
It comes with 10 rowsAnks, a base prize of 10,000, and is obtained by “banishing 10 or more items in a single run”. My goodness, Vampire Survivor became more complicated while looking out that window.
There are also two new achievements that Poncle nervously apologizes for. “SSorry for the extra achievements ruining your completion rate,” he says in his notes. “MMost players seem to be in favour, so I took the opportunity to add more. The best I can think of to make them feel less than “must have” is to mark them as EXTRA achievements.”
And there is also a new secret. shhh
Vampire Survivor is very tight my cityFavorite games of 2022 (and yes, she, we know it came out in December 2021 but nobody noticed for a few weeks) and it will be at the top of many GOTY lists around the web. For now you can Get it on Steam for just $4.24, or find it included with Game Pass for Xbox. However, be prepared to see nothing but blue crystals when you close your eyes for the next few weeks.
