Sure, there are a lot of useful things and there is a lot of new content Stardew Valley1.6 update. But there are also a lot of silly changes to the eight-year-old game that are both helpful and hilarious. In addition to the new festivals, updated dialogues and many secrets, Stardew Valley Now let’s put hats on cats and drink mayonnaise too. What more do you want?
The Stardew Valley The 1.6 update patch notes are pages long, but we’ve sifted through them to find the silliest updates that will definitely make you smile as you play, whether you’re starting a new save or diving back into your old farm. My personal favorites relate to my spouses in the game: After marriage, spouses are not allowed to lie in bed all day for seven days – a “honeymoon” period – if they are upset. Invisible spouses (a mistake!) will also not ask to have children.
Here is the list of our favorites.
“Spouses now have a seven-day “honeymoon” period after marriage, which prevents them from lying in bed all day due to restlessness.”
Understandable! Nobody wants to be depressed after their wedding.
“Baby Toss now has a chance to criticize”
You can throw your baby once a day to increase your friendship level – one heart per day. But the critical hit change probably means you now have a chance to win more hearts with a baby roll.
“A tinkling sound has been added when walking with Cinder Clown Shoes.”
Yet another change that just makes sense. If you wear clown shoes, they must ring.
“You can now put hats on cats and dogs”
It’s incomprehensible that this wasn’t in play before. Give hats to all cats and dogs!
“You can now drink mayonnaise and jelly and eat cucumbers”
Look, I’m not sure who’s trying to drink mayonnaise, but it’s kudos for being able to eat pickles. The Mayo change is apparently pretty good for the early game thanks to the new Meadowlands farm type. Regular quality mayonnaise gives 50 energy and 22 health, According to one player on Reddit. Drink!
“Fixed bug where invisible spouses would ask about children”
Your ghost spouse will not ask to have children.
“Fixed a bug that would cause players to get stuck in the swimsuit if they collapsed from damage while wearing it.”
I don’t know about you, but when I collapse in my bathing suit, I want to change immediately.
