Halo infinite started with a bunch of new guns in the seriessome of which have functions that are not immediately apparent. The heat wave can shoot both vertically and horizontally. The deficiency causes 117 percent more damage when you play against a pro. And – hopefully you will support it – the Disruptor, a sidearm that ejects electro-charged ammunition, is fully automatic.
The reveal is new to some Halo infinite Player, as indicated by a. proven semi-viral Reddit post Expressing shock at the discovery.
“Guys, the disruptor is fully automatic,” Reddit user -ranmori wrote. “For example, you hold it down and it continues to shoot. Man, it would be crazy if you played 100 hours and only found out today, right? Haha, yes, I can’t be. “

The instinct here could lead to a snappy reaction, and in fact, some players have done just that by mixing in with cheeky feedback on how the guardian beam (basically a laser beam) and the tower of the warthog (a chain rifle) were also fully automatic. But a good part of the comments, which currently number more than 1,000, express surprise. Some called the whole thread “stunning”, others said it “changes everything”. A few are a little more self-deprecating, with a self-proclaimed disruptor fan going so far as to say, “I’m an idiot”.
People don’t have to be down in the dumps like this. To be fair, if you jump right in Halo infinite, The Disruptor’s fully automatic bona fides don’t get prominent and centered, even if you mess around with the gun drill workouts. And there are historical precedents. gloriole‘s side arms were usually semi-automatic weapons. The impulse when you’ve played gloriole for a while consists of hammering the right trigger on every shot.
Can’t say it took me 100 hours, but I certainly didn’t know about the disruptor’s hidden power until a friend told me about a month ago how I radically changed the weapon. (The previously insurmountable challenge “Get 10 kills with the disruptor in PvP” has now become eminently surmountable.) Because of the chatter, I’m not alone – and the disruptor is not the only surprisingly fully automatic weapon launcher Halo infinite
“It took me a while to find out that the Bulldog is fully automatic, but this one really got me,” Reddit user Classics22 said in response to the original thread.
“… the bulldog is fully automatic?” -Ranmori asked.
Yes. I know. I’m just as surprised as you – and everyone else.
Search. I play a lot Halo infinite, and just last night the bulldog discovered a replacement for gloriole‘s shotgun, has a rapid fire mode. (The official description of the gun in gun practice is “quick fire,” not automatic, okay?) While a few friends and I were creating Fiesta challenges for this final weekly challenge, everyone was like, “Wait guys? You know the shotgun is automatic is? ”to the universal shock in the Discord.
Neither the bulldog nor the disruptor is a first time Halo infinite‘s community was shocked at the unexpectedly rapid rate of fire of a weapon. Usually when gloriole Players come to Infinite for the first time they are surprised by the command. See, it looks a lot like the DMR – a semi-automatic rifle that has been a staple of the series for a while but is completely lacking in it Halo infinite– right down to the scope. If you’ve used the DMR, you’ll likely try using the Kommando in the same way: as a medium-range, single-shot rifle. But no. It’s rapid fire (although you will find better luck if you limit your shots to short shots).
So I was wondering what other weird guns could keep firing with you holding the trigger, which prompted me to test the entirety Infinite‘s arsenal. For example the pulse carabiner? Yes, this is auto fire! The heat wave and the stalker rifle aren’t what we should all be thanking 343 for. But the Hydra, a rocket launcher first introduced in Halo 5, is apparently fully automatic. Hey, maybe I’ll finally get kills with it.
