As a regular Jackbox Games host, I can confirm that this was much needed. There is a much Minigames in the 10 Jackbox Party Packs – over 50 to be exact, and while some of them have been made obsolete by sequels, there are still a few games from each pack that are worth revisiting.
This variety is what makes Jackbox such a party hit. SuspicionsEspionage is a clever little guessing game that is novel and not too competitive, while Survive the Internet allows my friends and I to bombard each other with the worst views imaginable. Press the button is a chaotic experience with lots of shouting and blame, while work work is a much more relaxed and silly experience. There is something for everyone.
But when playing with friends, it immediately becomes inconvenient to have to stop the stream, open a new Party Pack, check and make sure Extended Timers is on, and restart the stream. Admittedly, it’s a pretty minor gripe in the grand scheme of things, but it’s one that’s been around for a decade, so the Megapicker is a nice touch. The developers will be hosting an AMA on Reddit shortly before launch, where they will share more information and answer questions from fans.
