Lego Fortnite is getting a fishing mini-game. With the Gone Fishin’ update, v28.30, Lego Fortnite players can craft a fishing rod and catch fish. Lego Fortnite, for those who don’t know, it isn’t really Fourteen days anyway – it’s a survival crafting game à la Minecraftbut with Lego bricks and minifigures.
The Gone Fishin’ update is expected to go live on February 22nd Fourteen daysLady Gaga event. Here’s how fishing works: Players craft one of four fishing rods and cast it into bodies of water. Depending on the biome’s water, the weather, and the time of day, you’ll find different fish, some of which have legendary, rare versions. At some point there will be a way to display the legendary fish in Lego Fortnite, so stay tuned, Epic Games said in its patch notes
Here is the full fish list:
- Orange floppers
- Blue flopper
- Green flopper
- Vendetta floppers
- Black and blue shieldfish
- Purple thermal fish
- Raven thermal fish
- Silver thermal fish
- Blue Slurper
- Purple slurp
- Yellow slurp
- Blue little fish
- Cuddly jellyfish
- Sip jellyfish
- Melted spicy fish
The fish are actually made out of Lego bricks very sweet. In the patch notes, Epic Games shared four Lego fish: a pink jellyfish, an orange flopper, the black and blue shieldfish, and (maybe) the blue slurpfish.
Crafting benches allow you to make a fishing rod, while making a bait bucket requires a food processor and a juicer. (Please don’t use the same juicer for your own juice recipes. Ew.) Both items are available in four rarity levels: common, uncommon, rare, and epic. The recipes are unlocked when you add certain items to your inventory. Shortly after the release of the Gone Fishin’ update, Polygon will provide a full overview of the recipes and processes as part of our Lego Fortnite guides.
With Gone Fishin’, Lego Fortnite gets another potential villager in Turk, a skin already available in Fourteen days, as well as Outcast and Bob. (You can fish there Fourteen daysto.)
Beyond fishing, Epic Games is adding a few more resources to Lego Fortnite, like a shovel for digging up sand, which can then be used to make glass. Using glass, you can make binoculars to see long distances or a compass to add navigation markers to your map. Crafting an Advanced Compass adds navigation markers and map markers.
