I’m not talking about the actual game world – although it’s very beautiful too! – but from a special hand-drawn map that was commissioned and included in the physical edition of the game and is now available for sale as a large version of the fancy print.
Made by Goldie Bartlett– I’m working on it right now Wayward Beach– The picture should refer to it classic picture cards, with an emphasis on looking better than any handy in-game tool (it’s not exactly 1: 1, for example, but then who needs a card in this game?).
This emphasis means that the perspective of the world has been twisted in some places so that we can see things that would otherwise be obscured if this were just a giant screenshot. Like the paths that are all visible on this map at the same time, as Bartlett says, “so someone might have fun following the path of goosebumps chaos with the tip of their fingers …”
To put it all together, developer house House Bartlett provided a special custom build of the game that showed the whole city expanding all at once, like it was originally the cutest little village building simulation imaginable:

Now go back to the card illustration itself and check out these inks. Splendid. And yes, a coloring book would be very welcome.
The card was then hand painted and here is the finished product:
Here are some closer shots:
Like I said, this was originally offered as an in-game thing, but it is now also available as a huge, very unusual art print, if that’s more your style.
