The Pokémon Company also introduced a new Girafarig evolution, Firagarif. The evolution combines both heads of Girafarig into one, according to its official description: “Both of Farigiraf’s brains are connected by thick nerves, increasing his psychic energy, and he can emit psychic waves from the antennae on his head.”
Pokemon scarlet and violet Coming to Nintendo Switch on November 18th. It’s the ninth generation of the legendary franchise and brings players to the new Paldean region – a region inspired by the Iberian Peninsula (Europe and Portugal) and filled with tons of new Pokémon to catch. The Pokémon Company has revealed more than a dozen of Paldea’s new creatures, including Grafaiai, Fidough, Paldean Wooper, Cetitan, Cyclizar, Smoliv, Lechonk, and Pawmi. There are also the new starters – Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly – alongside the legendary Pokemon Koraidon and Miraidon. Wiglett, a wobbly-looking Pokemon that closely resembles Diglett, was the latest to be revealed ahead of Thursday’s trailer.
These Pokémon and many more will inhabit Pokemon scarlet and Violets Paldea with an “open-world experience” that The Pokémon Company says will allow players to forge their own path through the world, in any order. It’s a departure from the developer’s previous mainline series games, where there’s a set order for Pokémon trainers to work their way through gyms and opponents. Elsewhere, Pokemon scarlet and violet will have two more paths to follow, quest lines completely separate from the Victory Road journey.
