Codemasters’ F1 2021 – Codemasters announced Thursday that the studio’s first game would be released under new owner Electronic Arts. It starts on July 16 and brings three more tracks, a new story mode and several additional functions to the Formula 1 licensed racing simulation.
The tracks – Portimão, Imola and the brand new Jeddah Street Circuit – will be added F1 2021 According to a press release from Codemasters and EA as free content after launch. All three circuits are making their series debuts and for Imola, where the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix is taking place this weekend, it is the first appearance since then Formula 1 06
The new story mode is called “Braking Point” and Codemasters said it “immerses players in the glamorous world of F1,” with off-track lifestyle elements and role-playing games supporting the racing action. Additionally the fictional heel Devon Butler – a rival character from the first story mode in F1 2019 – returns to piss off the player.
Significantly, the game’s main career mode now supports cooperative / competitive online play for two players. Friends can now race for the same team or compete against each other in career mode and race for Alpine, As ton Martin or the other eight racing teams in the game.
The career mode also allows players to start a campaign with current driver and constructor ratings (and ratings) at any point in the real season, in case they want to give Williams the first points since his 10th finish at Hockenheim in 2019.
Last but not least, the team management and career mode of My Team was introduced F1 2020 will return. Plus, seven great drivers from F1 history are available to drive for created teams – should players pre-order the game or sign up for a premium Braking Point content pack whose a la carte price was not mentioned.
F1 2021 will debut the series on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, so gamers will notice visual improvements and faster load times. The game supports Cross-Buy, which means that players will get a free upgrade to the new console versions when they buy the game on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One. F1 2021 is also started on Windows PC.
