Like most people who need water to live, you probably like H20 in a normal amount – but you definitely don’t like water as much as this famous Nintendo fan. They are so well known and loved that they have even been featured in the official film plumber website for the Super Mario Bros. Movie.

Super Mario Bros. Plumbing is a fake plumbing service website where Mario and Luigi come to clean your pipes. Not like that, you pervert. Anyway, the website is an elaborate film marketing campaign that even includes an actual live van tour. If you look at the carousel section of the site, you’ll see a review by someone named Pipe_Dreamz. “Amazing looking water courtesy of the brothers,” it says.

For the non-Permanently online, Pipe_Dreamz is likely a reference to a Miiverse user named MARIO WiiU. They spent at least a few years commenting on the graphic quality of video games Nintendo’s official forums. Her biography describes theI’m a “die-hard Nintendo fan” who has been playing the publisher’s games since 1985. Despite being a Nintendo gamer since the Nintendo Entertainment System, they found the Wii U to be “an amazing system”. You do, buddy.

Since Miiverse was discontinued in November 2017, a new account has surfaced on Twitter posing as MARIO WiiU. However, there is no viable method to confirm that it is the same person (a mystery they have addressed publicly). I have my doubts. The original water commenter had posts unrelated to water, and the new account only has tweets about water. So the account is probably held by a fan of the water lover.

This isn’t the first time Nintendo of America has honored video game water’s biggest fan. The publisher three years ago tweeted “Beautiful Water” next to a clip by Paper Mario: The Origami King.

The Miiverse may be gone, but the spirit of MARIO WiiU lives on.
