For better or worse, Tiger King draw the attention of the internet to larger-than-life characters and the allegations of gracious murder. The Netflix documentary series is timely, and it looks like everyone is talking about Joe Exotic and Carole Baskin. The streaming service dropped another episode on Sunday – a wrap-up program hosted by Joel McHale – but if Tiger King made you enjoy real crime stories unlike any other, there are some practical differences of options, on Netflix and beyond.

If animal abuse is exposed internally Tiger King it was too big to handle, you might want to skip Don't F ** k Cats: Hunting the Internet Killer. Netflix documents focus on amateur satellites investigating a disturbing video in which a man was seen torturing and killing two kittens. But if you can get it out of the way (the document does not show actual abuse,) the story is to ride on junk.

Evil Genius
The story of a 2003 bank robbery known as a "pizza bomber heist" is available in four Netflix books, Evil Genius. The most brilliant person is Marjorie Diehl-Armstrong, whose plan is to send the driver a delivery of puzzles to a bank with a bomb in the chest that is just inserted by one of the arms of the union. How to Fix a Drug Scandal
The latest Netflix crime documentary (all four episodes dropped on April 1) tells the story of Sonja Farak, a Massachusetts criminal worker who was arrested in 2013 for obtaining samples and medicines she was supposed to process. Personal drama is interesting enough – why would a successful woman risk her important work by trying meth? – but the systemic issues it raises are very troubling. After Farak's arrest, prisoners who had filed their convictions were based on evidence that his lab continued to try to have their cases investigated. Jinx
If you haven't checked it out yet Jinx (and somehow missed the discussion surrounding its 2015 release), stop reading it and watch it. Spoilers are next.
In the meantime everyone, here's a refresher: Jinx it is known for its shocking fate when this article, Robert Durst, appears to warrant several murders, including his friend Susan Berman. The FBI arrested Durst shortly after the documentary was written, and his case was finally put to trial in March 2020. Joseph Peele produced this Amazon Prime documentary about Lorena Bobbitt, who became a backdrop for late-night comedy in the 1990s when she removed her abusive husband's penis. Sixteen years later, the four-part series features interviews with Lorena (whom she knows to be by Lorena Gallo) and her ex-husband, John Wayne Bobbitt, and friends and family who remember the 1993 incident and good entertainment. Author Joshua Rofé has tried to reconsider the aftermath of the tragedy, in particular shining a glimpse of what life was like for Gallo following his arrest.

McMillions
The McDonalds Monopoly cheating complaint receives a real criminal treatment by HBO & # 39; s McMillions. While the lessons are not as consistent as those Tiger King, McMillions it has its own set of colorful characters, ranging from a shrewd FBI agent to a smoker's mistress. As a detective, the story is fun in its own right, and the tone of the text is much simpler than most true crime documents.

The series examines the career of OJ Simpson football, his 1994 arrests for the murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman, and his post-adoption life. Documents containing the Simpson frames in terms of race and celebrity status, especially in Los Angeles in the 1990s. (Then take a look at ESPN's Michael Jordan documentary, which begins April 19.)

Don't be a pharmacist
A grieving father who lost his son in a drug-related shooting is taking over the pharmaceutical industry on Netflix, Don't be a pharmacist. While the opioid crisis may feel too big to fit the formula for a real criminal case, focusing on the one-person policy of Dan Schneider helps to support this story. This four-part series explores how Schneider, a pharmacist, solved his misery in investigating a “cure” doctor. This series is especially dangerous when you see that this investigation took place 15 years ago and the opioid crisis is still one and the most devastating problems for the American people today.

The long-running ABC news magazine doesn't always cover the true crime, but with the three seasons currently broadcast on Hulu, there are plenty of true crime scenes to choose from. What to look out for is "The Dropout," a two-hour episode on Elizabeth Holmes & # 39; Theranos scam, which to get a script adaptation (Also starring Kate McKinnon, she reportedly did show Carole Baskin at Tiger King series).
