Simultaneously with the world premiere of One Piece Movie: Red In Japan, Bandai Namco and Toei Animation are hosting a two-day celebration of One Piece’s 25th anniversary, which will be streamed live on YouTube.
Everything One Piece encompasses is covered, from the manga and anime series to the film and game. The event is scheduled begin early in the morning of July 22nd to celebrate One Piece Movie: Red Premiered in Japan and starred some cast members like Mayumi Tanaka (Luffy) and Akemi Okamura (Nami).
The second part of the celebration begins July 22 at 9:00 p.m. EDT. News on all parts of the franchise, including the One piece Manga which is currently on hiatus for a month and Bandai Namco is coming up One piece , a JPG based on anime and manga. Bandai Namco debuted some gameplay for the game in early June; There is no release date yet, but it is expected this year.
A live-action Netflix adaptation is also in the works and will be produced in partnership with Tomorrow Studios. The main role is played by Iñaki Godoy (Who Killed Sarah?) as Luffy, Mackenyu Arata (Pacific Rim: Uprising) as Zoro and Emily Rudd (street of fear) as Nami. One Piece fans last watched the adaptation during Netflix’s Geeked Week. One Piece Celebration Announcement, via YouTubeShe didn’t specifically call out the show, so it’s unclear if we’ll see more of it during the July event.
