One of the coolest things Pokémon The company sometimes produces multiple cards in its trading card game whose images tell a story. It is has happened several times over the years, such as a set of Tepig, Pignite and Emboar cards that show how a Pokémon grows up along with its family, or a Quaxly, Quaxwell and Quaquavel All his life he serves different levels of pussy in the mirror. These reference cards only appear every now and then and don’t really have a noticeable effect on the game, but it’s always nice to see them unfold and collect. The Pokémon Company continues this trend with an adorable pair in the upcoming Crimson Haze set Hisuian Growlithe And Perrin Cards.
The new set will be released in Japan on March 22nd, and while Bloodmoon Ursaluna is featured on the cover of its booster packs, Growlithe’s regional Hisuian variant is the real star of the show this time around. If you haven’t played this yet Pokémon Scarlet And Violet DLCs, you may not know about Perrin and her Hisuian Growlithe, who are the stars of some of the expansions’ more complicated side quests. She is a photographer and loves taking photos of Pokémon, and is also likely a descendant of Adaman Pokémon Legends: Arceus. Her partner is a Growlithe who accompanies her on her jobs. The pair is dealt two cards connected, and they are adorable.
Growlithe’s map shows the little guy jumping onto Perrin’s legs with a big smile on his face. His eyes are covered by white fur, but his excited expression still shines through. Meanwhile, Perrin’s trainer card shows her looking down at Growlithe while taking a photo of her partner, and the same smile can be seen in the lens of her camera. I scream, cry and throw up. It’s so damn cute that I can’t stop smiling while looking at it.
It’s not the most complex storytelling ever Pokémon card story, but it’s very concise when it comes to exploring the dynamics between characters. Perrin sees something cute and her camera is already on the way. Growlithe is such a happy, loyal little dog that he enjoys being her role model. I try my best not to give in Pokémon Card collecting, but I would buy both for an obscene price.
