A 2014 remastered port of Grave robbers (2013) has finally found its way to the PC with a silent launch in the Microsoft Store.
Some background information. In 2013 Crystal Dynamics developed a Grave robbers Reimagined with a younger Lara Croft who survives a dangerous island adventure. This game was originally released for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. Then, in 2014, a slightly remastered and improved port of this reboot was released under that name on PS4 and Xbox One Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition
On April 24th, as spotted by RedditThe Definitive edition of the restart Grave robbers was eclipsed in the Microsoft Store with seemingly no warning or announcement. I haven’t received an email. My city
Perhaps the reason no one has officially announced this news is because, according to people who have been playing along Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition On PC it’s quite a mess. People have reported issues launching the game, as well as missing animations, broken physics, performance issues, and other issues.
My city has contacted Grave robbers Developer Crystal Dynamics about the port.
However, at the moment it seems that the Definitive edition isn’t quite ready for showtime on PC just yet. Hopefully it can be patched and released on Steam so that this version of Grave robbers (2013) may be available to more people.
But I also hope that the original version of the game, currently for sale on Steam, will not be removed from the store, as many players prefer this version and mods for it are unlikely to work with the new port. For now all we can do is wait and see. I think you can also buy the duck version of Lara Croft if you want. I would not.
