The player responsible for a 2020 swatting incident at Ubisoft Montreal has been sentenced to three years of community service by a French court. The Montreal Gazette reports. The player called a hostage situation Assassin’s Creed And Far cry Studio, which led to a lockdown and a police raid, all apparently because he was barred from entering Rainbow Six Siege dozens of times.
22-year-old player Yanni Ouahioune, who was called Y4nnOXX onlineexclaimed the threat on November 13, 2020, prompting an hour-long showdown between developers from Ubisoft and others at the Montreal building where the company is located took refuge out of fear that an armed gunman might roam free.
