Twitch streamer Hasan Piker trolled by Game Awards Show Crasher

Matan Even, the trolly kid, that snuck onto the Game Awards stage last December Screaming ex-US President Bill Clinton is back. This time, however, he crashed socialist Twitch streamer Hasan “Hasanabi” Piker’s May 4 livestream at the WGA writers’ picket line in Hollywood, California. Why? Well, the man’s a landlord, apparently. yuck

If you recognize Even, it’s because he’s trying so hard to be recognized. At Game Awards Show 2022just as developer FromSoftware was accepting the Game of the Year trophy Elder Ring (well deserved!), a random kid dressed in an ill-fitting black sports coat and a pair of Yeezys stood behind director Hidetaka Miyazaki and other collaborators. Nobody knew how he got there (Spoiler alert: he literally just went up with them), but many had questions. Anyway, after Miyazaki gave his acceptance speech and the FromSoft staff got ready to dip, Even confiscated the mic to give Bill Clinton an odd salute.

“I want to say thank you to everyone,” said Even. “I think I would like to propose this award to my Reformed Orthodox Rabbi, Bill Clinton. Thank you all.”

Talk about a maximum stealth statistic. The teenage thug hunter has a history of these stunts, going viral for banging events from a BlizzCon panel to an LA Clippers game and beyond. He recently trolled Kai Cenatshow up to harass the new king of twitch last February. Now, Even has done it again, crashing the May 4 Hasanabi livestream with YouTube comedian Adam Conover while standing at a picket line the ongoing writers’ strike in L.A.

Hasan loves unions, Matan loves landlords

Piker, one of Twitch’s most prominent streamers and arguably the biggest political commentator on the platform, hosted an IRL live stream, meaning he was actually out and about rather than just speaking into his camera at his multi-million dollar West Hollywood home (people love to hate him for buying). The famous streamer wanted to show his solidarity with flashy film and TV writers buy pizza and to picket with them. They are currently fighting for better financial payouts, fairer working conditions and much more. After about three and a half hours of picketing, walking around Hollywood with Conover, chatting with fans and viewers, and drinking water, Even suddenly emerged like an unfortunate weed.

“What’s up? How are you guys? We love landlords,” Even said, holding a cardboard sign that read We love landlords. “We’re all anti-unions. We’re here to protest [for the landlords] and against the unions. We love her.”

A few more of the ones I can only assume Even’s friends then appeared on the screen, holding up similarly designed cardboard signs and attacking the landlords harshly.

“We love landlords,” Even said. “We love her very much. We are all against unions, they are not fair to the corporations. This is a crazy problem.”

Piker tried to push Even aside to chat with other organizers about what’s next. However, Even and his crew were still there, singing in support of the landlords. He then accused Piker of “running away” because he didn’t want to show their signs and vowed to “be there for the rest of the night to protest.” The two then clashed on Twitter, with Piker saying he politely asked Even to step aside so he could continue with his business: live-streaming a picket line. This happened after Even tried to team up with Piker for a “Cooperation.”

Womenn gives a statement – somehow

Even agreed via Twitter DM to speak with my city on the phone, although throughout the call he had legal counsel advising him not to answer questions about the mood on the LA picket line, his attitude toward landlords, or his interaction with Piker, and appeared to be speaking to him my city via three-way call with his attorney based on the quality of his audio.

At one point, Even seemed to imply that the strike wasn’t as important as other global issues, saying, “Logically, so many problematic world disasters happen throughout the year [unintelligible]. People don’t pay enough attention to these problems. They know they go to the store, buy energy drinks, they go to their house and turn on the air conditioning, but they don’t even think about how that’s going to affect all the animals in the ocean…” When asked when he referred to climate change, Even denied it.

my city asked Piker for comment.

If you Follow Even on TikTok, that’s his bread and butter: he shows up at the most random of times to harass the most random of people for clout. It’s disappointing to see someone trying to sabotage an organized struggle against exploited workers instead of using their huge following to raise awareness. However, we shouldn’t be too surprised. This is troll shit.

If you want to support the writers on strike, you can do it the main WGA website to learn how you can get involved. There are also a schedule with multiple locations if you want to join the writers on the picket line. Or, if you can’t physically show up, you can make a cash donation distributed among the strikers. And while you’re at it, you should Check out some of the best characters on the picket line. You’re pretty funny.
