A few months ago, before encountering any delays, I had the opportunity to play Two Point Campus, the latest simulation game from Two Point Studios, for a few hours. From my first impressions last April, I was pretty clear that this was going to be an exciting game to say the least as the improved depth simulation systems open the door to creativity in the hands of the player. But that’s only a small part of a few hours of fun. Now I’ve had unlimited access to this one and I’ve spent a few hours building wacky, weird campuses all over Two Point County and, spoiler alert, it clearly has the makings of a mind-blowing title.
Anyone who has played Two Point Hospital before will know what this game has to offer. Of course, hospitals are left aside in exchange for universities, but the concept is the same. In the campaign segment, you must travel across Two Point County to build campuses customized for specific functions. Which means going to Noblestead to start a school for willing gentlemen, or Blundergrad to train the next generation of professional spies. The game’s range is wide, but it’s designed to give you the freedom to add a few personal touches here and there.
For example, Mitton University’s entire mission concept revolves around robotics, as the historic goal of this place is to capitalize on the “tech boom” by reinventing itself (as many historic universities actually did). worldwide). In this particular case, you will have to complete a series of missions related to this topic, such as: B. Make sure the campus has a working robotics lab, enough teachers, and so on. The trick here is that you have to do all of this while also considering other simulation systems like student hygiene, happiness, and grades, since revenue in Two Point Campus is generated when students do well in college (which they win). cannot do without the right equipment and a good relaxation after a long day). Provided you have all of this under control and your students are on track in their studies, you can use extra money to charter clubs or start other courses in the same location, meaning the University of Mitton is credited for their excellent Robotics could also be the training school for magicians or clowns.

Needless to say, with so many dissonant courses and exploration options, “normal” has no place in this game. The courses themselves are weird and wacky, and you have to build battlefields for knights, potions labs for wizards, and kitchens for chefs and science labs for scientists. And with all this diversity, the students are also a peculiar bunch. From goths and dark wizards to cunning spies and musicians, athletes, punks, archaeologists, cooks and rebels. You need to attract an unusual group of students, which is why the build packs are so extensive.

Two Point Campus – Impressions from practice
We’ve built the university of our dreams in the new simulation game from Two Point Studios.
You can customize your campus down to the last detail, from things like placing radiators on campuses in the coldest parts of Two Point County, like the University of Mitton, to making sure there are enough vending machines and food stands nearby to feed you Your students. Add to that campus amenities like restrooms, hand sanitizer stations, trash cans, and even making sure there are enough dormitories to allow more students to come to your campus and make more money. They even have to hire/train janitors to be guards from time to time to deal with incursions from other nearby schools. There are tons of things to take care of, but everything runs its course in a manageable and fairly intuitive way.
However, if you make mistakes in assessment and start skimping on your students’ needs or not building the right facilities and spaces, you will find that grades and satisfaction levels drop, affecting campus status and recognition . and you will see fewer students waiting to enter, and therefore receive less money. This can happen very quickly, so it’s handy that Two Point Studios implemented a way to pause the game (or even speed up the game’s pace) so you can take some time to plan your strategy.

A “Sandbox” mode is available for those looking for a more creative playstyle that’s less hampered by quests and challenges. The catch is that some campuses require you to earn one of the three stars to unlock it. But once that’s done, you’ll have access to a mode where your limitations from money and other factors are much less (which means you’ll be able to unleash your creative potential and create the true university of your dreams ). The ‘Sandbox’ mode also has a higher level of difficulty called “challenge“, which puts more emphasis on finances and so on.
All in all, I was quite impressed with Two Point Campus. It’s not the most exciting game out there, but it’s super immersive, very enjoyable, and it really does feel like going back to college (which is made easy with public announcements and crazy radio stations playing throughout the game) . flashy audio to match the extensive gameplay systems, and animated and sometimes wacky graphics and cutscenes). Two Point Studios knows how to make a fun simulation game. We know that from Two Point Hospital. If Two Point Campus is doing anything, it’s acknowledging that this study is trying to consolidate itself as the main figure of this genre in the industry.
