Appreciation‘s next season comes with a massive addition: a new map. Riot Games announced the map, dubbed Pearl, with a new trailer on Thursday. The card is slated to arrive with Episode 5: Dimension of the game, which is scheduled to begin sometime during the week of June 20th.
Pearl is an underwater map, the first of its kind in Appreciation. The trailer welcomes us to a holiday called Sanctuary Day with a Portuguese voiceover and tells the story of Kingdom Industries building a bubble around an underwater city to avoid a climate catastrophe. We get a glimpse of some areas of the map, including what appears to be a coffee shop.
This is the first map Riot added Appreciation since the release of Fracture in September last year. Meanwhile, Riot released several agents, including Chamber, Fade, and Neon, who helped keep things fresh while the studio was between maps. After it enters the game, Pearl will be the eighth card Appreciation.
