VTuber (Virtual YouTuber) agency Hololive Production has canceled its agreement with popular virtual streamer Uruha Rushia, alleging that she violated her contract and disclosed private information.
Hololive production has over sixty VTubers on his roaster and more than 43 million YouTube subscribers. Regarding “Uruha Rushia”, it has been apparent for some time that it is providing false information to third parties and is leaking information, including communications related to business matters. We have examined the facts related to these matters.
In relation to the above, we have been able to confirm that she was involved in activities that: Breached her contract by disclosing information she received from the company and communications via SNS [social media], which they are both responsible for protecting; and caused reputational damage to the company, e.g. B. by publishing untruths to various related parties. As a result, we realized as a company that it had become difficult to continue to manage and support them and decided to make that decision.
Hololive Production thanked the fans for their support and apologized for putting them in this position. At a later date, the company will provide details on refunds for Uruha Rushia birthday items. Also, her YouTube channel will be closed at the end of March.
“Please understand that we take this matter very seriously,” Cover Corporation added in its announcement. “We intend to make further efforts to educate the talents associated with us on compliance issues so that similar incidents do not occur again in the future.”
