Lava inlet of the destroyed forge is the dungeon you find in the Gravesite Plain of Fire ring‘S Shadow of the Earth Tree DLC. You can find it southeast of Castle Ensis and the Castle Front Site of Grace.
Our Fire ring Ruined Forge Lava Intake Guide takes you through the dungeon in Shadow of the Earth Tree and point out all mercy locations, boss fights and important items.
Location of the Ruined Forge Lava Supply in the Elden Ring DLC
Start at the Caste Front Site of Grace just outside Castle Ensis and turn southeast. You’ll have to backtrack a bit, but there’s a path that leads through (another) Messmer soldier camp. Continue following this flat area southeast to the dungeon.
Where can I find the Ruined Forge Lava Intake dungeon?
As you approach the Ruined Forge lava inlet pit, you will pass a camp of Messmer soldiers. On the other side, you will pass two groups of Messmer soldiers fighting Bloodfiends.
Just southeast of the second group, the entrance is hard to miss. Walk down the slope and meet the Ruined Forge Lava Inlet of Mercy.
Start at the lava inlet of the Ruined Forge of Grace.
Go down the stairs in front of you and turn right. Climb down the ladder to your left (or just jump over it). You’ll pass a helpful weak spot clue. Turn left just past this clue and you’ll have your first opportunity to use this clue.
In the next room, you’ll find a golem with a glowing gem on its lower back. This clue simply means that you’ll do (a lot) more damage if you attack from behind. Take it out, then search the room (and its corpse) for a pile of forgestones and a gasstone.
Back outside, follow the path southwest, grabbing blacksmithing stones along the way. Watch out for slime on the ceiling. At the end of the path, go left.
When the room opens, you’ll find a ladder at the other end of the ledge you’re on. Take it down and duck under the ledge to find a stash of Smithing Stones and Gas Stones.
On the other side of the room, run up the short stairs and turn right to find more blacksmith and gas stones as well as the Cookbook of the Great Potentate (13).
Lower the lava pump
Before you go back down the stairs, look southwest to find a slope you can go up. Follow it as far as you can and jump onto the ledge on the opposite wall. Turn right and take the ladder down.
On the next ledge, pull the lever you find. Go back to where you picked up the cookbook.
Go back down the stairs and turn right. Take care of the golem and slime and grab any other crafting materials you see as you cross the room to the southwest.
At the other end, go through the broken wall on the left. Kill the golem and grab everything that isn’t nailed down.
Find the anvil hammer
Go back outside and go to the actual door on the other side of the room. After the hallway, you’ll come to a landing with another golem guarding the Smithscript dagger.
The lever you pulled earlier lowered a pump (an Archimedes screw, if you’re a nerd) into the lava. Climb up the pipe – if you miss the jump, there’s a ladder to the right – to the top.
Exit through the narrow door on the right. Go up the stairs and Examine the altar by the fireplace to pick up the anvil hammer. When you grab it, a teleport back to the entrance will appear. Or you can go down the pump pipe a bit, fall onto the ledge on the right, and be right back at the Place of Mercy.
