An update pushed to Blizzard’s internal servers on the evening of November 5th suggests a revised version of Warcraft 2: Tides of Darkness Maybe it’s waiting just over the horizon, Wowhead reports.
The data, public visible on the Battle.net automatic update logger Blizztrack, refers to an internal alpha and includes artwork and a logo.
It is possible that we will find out on November 13th during the official information about this project Warcraft 30th Anniversary Directwhich Blizzard has hinted will include some sort of surprise.
Warcraft 2: Tides of Darkness appeared on the PC in 1995 and continued the story of its predecessor, but added new game mechanics such as air and sea warfare. Conversations from a Warcraft 2 Remake or remaster stretches back to at least 2017and more recently the original game and its Beyond the Dark Portal Extension have been added to the Battle.net launcher on January 30, 2024.
Blizzard did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
