Sony’s latest installment of State of Play, its live-stream series straight to the consumer, will air Thursday May 27th and will focus on the upcoming release of Horizon forbidden west. Developer Guerilla Games promises to show almost 15 minutes of gameplay from Horizon forbidden west runs on PlayStation 5.
Thursday’s livestream will be available on PlayStation Pull out and Youtube Channels. The new State of Play (officially) kicks off on May 27 at 5:00 p.m. EDT / 2:00 p.m. PDT and lasts approximately 20 minutes. Guerrilla games and Sony Interactive Entertainment will precede the show with a “uniquely designed countdown” starting at 12:00 PM EDT / 9:00 AM PDT. Yes, that’s a five hour countdown.
Sony and guerrilla revealed Horizon forbidden west in June 2020 at the PlayStation 5 reveal event. The sequel sends the protagonist Aloy to the Pacific coast. The game’s trailer featured footage of Aloy swimming around. the preserved towers of the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco; and new machines based on animals like wild boars, turtles, and woolly mammoths.
Horizon forbidden west was originally announced for release in late 2021. The game is also coming to PlayStation 4.
