This April, the Craptions collection added a new Wes Anderson variant movies in their library: 2014 Grand Budapest Hotel. At the time of its release, the film, starring in a mountain hotel with its staff as the war drew to a close, was nominated for nine Academy Awards, including Best Photo and Best Director.
Crquion's new release boasts of director-directed 2K digital transfers, audio commentary featuring Anderson, Roman Coppola, and Jeff Goldblum, and more. One of the most unique, however, is the collection of news stories told by Anderson himself.
The animatics, which can last up to 25 minutes, include "Introduction," "The Wonder Woman," "Kovacs Murder," "Prison Escape" The film's fans have now watched the entire first episode, "Introduction," here on Polygon. The clip goes with the opening of the film by Anderson's storyboards, with Anderson reading the script above the animated image.
