Archie returns to Fate 2 with a trip to the Neomuna after the weekly reset on May 28, 2024.
This is the last step in a series of “Where in the system is Archie” quests as part of the “Into the Light” update – which will be released week by week in the run-up to The final form.
Note this quest expires on June 3 weekly reset — one whole day before The final form starts on June 4. This is because Bungie Fate 2 disabled for 24 hours before the extension.
Remember, assuming you complete any Archie Quest before the arrival of The final formyou will receive the Blue Steel shader, while lore for all Archie quests will be available starting June 4th.
How to start “Where in Neomuna is Archie?” in Destiny 2
To begin the final Where’s Archie quest, go to the tower annex and find the paw prints.
You can reach this location by using the southwestern most fast travel point and then going straight down the corridor. The paw prints will appear on the ledge to your right.
Examine the prints and speak to Ada-1 (in the annex directly across the street) to begin the latest quest.
Now go to Neomuna and speak to Nimbus at Strider’s Gate. Once this is done, the quest will begin.
All Archie Neomuna locations
Here’s where to find Archie in Neomuna, clue by clue.
“Archie stopped by Nimbus to take a photo of the location of an action figure”
This clue refers to Nimbus’ Gym, which is also where you place all action figure collectibles on Neomuna.
From Nimbus, jump straight down and to the right of the platform. The building is directly in front of you. Go inside and you will find Archie’s footprints between the coffee tables.
Visiting the veil is quite a journey for you.
“Archie wanted to know everything we knew about the location of the veil”
This advisory refers to the Veil Containment and Irkalla Complex areas, the two southeasternmost points on the map of Neomuna.
To reach this location, you can’t just start Veil Containment, as you’ll need to be outside to do so. Instead, you’ll need to go through the Zephyr Hall and then through the ESI Terminal. Keep to the left all the way there and you’ll eventually find a portal that will take you to the Veil Containment area.
Continue to the door where you will be attacked by a group of Cabal and a Tormentor. Kill everything including the Tormentor and return to the door. You will find Archie’s footprints just outside the door to the Veil.
Now you have to take another long walk near Liming Harbor.
“Archie wanted to see the view from where Guardians mastered the beach”
This reference refers to Maya’s Rest, the sandy area east of Liming Harbor.
Land in Liming Harbor and take the path east through the rocks. This is basically a direct path to Maya’s Retreat, but it takes a bit of time to get there. Keep going until you reach the sand area.
Here you will have to kill many Cabal, including a Colossus boss. Once you kill the boss, all other enemies will disappear and you can collect the footprints that overlook the city.
Fortunately, Archie’s last stop is a much shorter route.
“Archie’s last stop. Archie wanted to try to win a prize for you” Location
This final clue relates to the Thrilladrome Lost Sector in Liming Harbor.
Land in Liming and head north to the entrance of the Lost Sector. Go in and just play the normal version – so don’t start the Legend or Master versions if they’re available – and eventually you’ll find Archie next to a claw machine. Don’t go through the Vex portal at the end. If you do, you’ll miss Archie, who is to the right of the portal.
Give him a few cuddles and you’ll finish the exploration part of the quest. Now it’s time to return to Ada-1 in the tower. She’ll give you an Archie plushie and 10 Valor Trophy Tokens – useful for getting more Valor weapons. Whether you keep the plushie is up to you. Archie will be sad if you don’t!
The Archie quests will disappear completely with the weekly reset on June 3rd, so this is your last chance to find Archie.
If you want even more to do in the Into the Light update, you can take on Pantheon bosses, complete Zero Hour, find Oracle locations for The Whisper, and upgrade Whisper of the Worm with Taken Blights.
