Bronze is the resource you will access Hades 2 Once you have achieved the surface Area. It is an important crafting ingredient that you need if you want to unlock all weapons (especially the Argent Skull).
Unfortunately, you’ll need at least several runs before you reach the surface. In this Hades 2 Guide, we’ll tell you how to reach the surface And how to find bronze When you get there.
How to reach the surface and find Olympus in Hades 2
Unlike the first Hades, Hades 2 offers several routes: the underworld and the surface. At the beginning of the game you can delve into the underworld, but you have to unlock the surface after several hours of play and several summons.
You must first unlock the wards that lead to the surface. You then have to banish the curse that hits you there.

You’ll know you’re getting closer to Bronze when you unlock the ability, “Penetration of witch spells“Summoning in the Cauldron at the Crossroads, which should be available shortly afterwards Hermes contacts you in the underworld.
You will need one for this summoning ash (which you get when you defeat Hekate) and a moly (A flower that you can find in Erebus, the first area). You also need one Shadow, which require the Alchemy system to unlock. If you don’t have access to Alchemy yet, do another run or two and it should appear.
Finally, when you visit the Cauldron at the Crossroads, you can head over and perform Alchemy, which will allow you to convert some of your more common materials into rare ones. The alchemy you must perform to get to the surface is “Shadow extraction“what will turn 30 ashes, 30 PsycheAnd 3 Fate Material into a single shadow. Once you start the alchemy process here, you’ll need to kill some time letting it cook. You can either do another run or take an NPC to bathe in the hot springs.
Once you finally have your shadow, cast the Permeation of Witching-Wards spell. This will remove the protective shield in the training area on the way to the surface, allowing you to go there on your next run.
But on your first run on the surface after clearing the first room, you’ll be taking significant damage every few seconds, effectively limiting your ability to push too far into the city of Ephyra – and making your hunt for Bronze more difficult.
How to remove the surface curse

Now you need to remove the curse, which requires another incantation and some items you don’t have yet.
Back in Crossroads you now have access to “Untangling a fateful connection“Incantation that removes your curse and allows you to remain on the surface as long as you wish. To use it you need two lotuses, two nightshades, two mossAnd two thalamus.
- lotus is a flower found in Oceanus.
- Nightshade grows from Nightshade seeds, which you can harvest in Erebus.
- moss is located on the surface, found by identifying small green spots on the ground. Just start a run and grab it before you die. Keep doing Surface runs until you have enough.
- Thalamus is the hardest to get. First, equip yourself with the Silver Spade tool and then head to the Underworld. You look Chaos Gates, which will take you into the primordial realm of chaos. There you should find a dig spot on the ground. Use your silver spade to dig one up Origin seeds (It should hopefully give you two). Keep visiting Chaos on your runs until you have two Origin Seeds. Back at the Crossroads, plant them and wait for them to grow into Thalamus.
Once you have all your resources, use the cauldron to cast the Unraveling a Fateful Bond incantation. Now, free of the curse, you can finally search for bronze on the surface.
