Port Crystals are among the rarest and most effective items of all Dragon’s Dogma 2. They act as anchors that you can fast travel to – provided you have a ferry stone.
But how come not every city has a port crystal? How to get more port crystals? And if you find more, where should you put them?

Permanent Port Crystal Locations in Dragon’s Dogma 2
If you stick to the main story, the first port crystal you find will probably be the one inside Vernworth.
Of course, one might assume that this is a fast travel point, and there are many others in the game. No. The Vernworth Port Crystal is one of only two stationary crystals In Dragon’s Dogma 2. The other one is inside Harrow Village
As of this writing, every other port crystal in the game that we have found is mobile and can be picked up and moved at will.
How to get more Port Crystals in Dragon’s Dogma 2
Port Crystals come from a variety of sources and you can get a total of six on your first playthrough, not counting microtransactions.
You can find a Port Crystal by riding one Vermund griffin to his nest, which you can do by simply jumping on his back and attacking him until he tries to run home. If it takes you to its nest – or if you find the nest in the southern part of the country Misty swamps (seen on the map above) – You’ll find a port crystal lying right inside.
In Battahl you will come across this during the main quest Dragonforged blacksmith at the Bay Wayward Shrine. Here you can exchange Wyrmslife Crystals with him for powerful upgrades to your weapons and armor. For 20 of your Wyrmslife Crystals, he will sell you a single Port Crystal.
In addition, there is four port crystals that you can obtain through quests in the game.
There are three (four if you’re smart) quests that upon completion will award you a Port Crystal:
- “Festival of Deception”
- “An archery test”
- “A game of the mind”
You will receive your first Port Crystal from Captain Brant after completing “Festival of Deception” Search.
For your second port crystal, you can find an elf named Glyndwr in the Vernworth town square. He gives you the “Gift of the Bow” quest, which eventually becomes “A test of archery“Search. If you follow his quest line you will receive a Port Crystal as a reward.
The third and fourth wearable port crystals can both come from the Sphinx, which keeps puzzling you throughout.A clever game.”
First this Puzzles of madness asks you to place your dearest friend in front of the Sphinx. Grab your main character, throw him onto the platform and the Sphinx will hand you her only port crystal.
However, during the Puzzle of Persuasion, the Sphinx will ask you to give her your most valuable item in the world. She will act like she is taking it away from you, but will give it back to you instead And You will receive a fully functional duplicate. If you give her the Port Crystal you just got from the Puzzle of Madness, you’ll go home two Port Crystals richer.
Best Port Crystal Locations in Dragon’s Dogma 2
The most important cities in Dragon’s Dogma 2 are very extensive. And we all know how rough traveling by oxcart is. Ferry stones cannot fail. So if you want to travel reliably, you must have a port stone at every important location in the game.

- The Sphinx’s current hiding place
- Checkpoint Rest Town
- Bakbattahl
- Volcano Island Camp
- Holy bower
- Melve
- The Dragonforged Blacksmith
- The central station of the Battahl cable car
One final note: For reasons we won’t go into here, you want your port crystals to be spread out as much as possible before you kill the final boss and enter the endgame. So consider moving some of your port crystals to the corners of the map before completing the final quest of the game.
