If you want to level up your craftsmen and collectors in Final Fantasy 14weekly custom made to eager customers is a great way to accumulate both EXP and Scrips (the crafting/gathering currency).
Below we explain how customized deliveries work in FFXIV and how to unlock them all.
Custom Deliveries in FFXIV, Explained
Custom Deliveries are weekly quests that you can complete to earn lots of crafting and gathering EXP and you writeYou will also receive satisfaction for each character you make deliveries for, and their happiness level increases, allowing you to learn more about the character. You can only make a total of 12 custom deliveries per week, and six per specific NPC. Deliveries reset every Tuesday morning.
Each week, customers will ask for a list of items that you can either craft or collect. You can find out what items they want without talking to them by opening the Tasks menu, selecting Timers, and then selecting Special Deliveries. (You won’t see the customers unless you’ve unlocked them, though.)
You can buy all the materials needed to craft from nearby merchants. For example, you can buy the materials for Zhloe and Adkiragh from the Scrap Salvager in Idyllshire and the materials for Kurenai from the Blue Merchant across the street in Tamamizu.
For gathering, you can check where the gathering nodes are by opening the custom delivery menu for that client, selecting the fish or collectible, and selecting “View Location” or “Search for Item by Gathering Method” respectively.
The higher Collectability The more skills or collected items you bring in, the more experience and Scrips you will receive in return. Scrips can be used to purchase important crafting materials, materia, decor, and other useful loot from Scrip Exchange NPCs. In particular, Scrips can be used to obtain some of the materials you need for your Heavensward Anima relic weapon.
Once you’ve maxed out customer satisfaction, you can add glamour to them and dress them in any outfit you want. You can do this for all customers except M’naago and Ehll Tou.
Rewards from customized deliveries
While EXP and scripts are already a generous reward, some of the custom deliveries offer special rewards that are worth grabbing:
To receive the above rewards, you must reach maximum satisfaction with these customers and then complete a quest (provided by the customer).
You will also receive two titles from each customer after you have reached maximum satisfaction with them and delivered them 150 collectibles.
Where to Unlock All Custom Deliveries in FFXIV
Before you can unlock custom deliveries, you must unlock Collectiblesif you haven’t already. You can do this by completing the quest “Unfathomable Tastes” from Morgayne in the Foundation (Ishgard). You also need to be at least level 50 in a crafting or gathering job to unlock collectibles, but the first custom delivery client is available at level 55.
You will also need to complete these short conversation quests to unlock Scrip Exchanges and Traders for each expansion:
- Heavensward: “Go West, Craftsman” from Lydirlona in Mor Dhona
- Stormblood: “Reach long and in peace” by Galiena in Rhalgr’s Reach
- Shadowbringer: “The boutique always wins” by Mowen in Eulmore
- Endwalker: “Expanding House of Splendors” by Ofpilona in Radz-at-Han
For two of the clients you have to unlock the Firmament, the hub for Ishgard Restoration. You can do this by completing the To the Firmament quest via the recruitment notice flyer near the Ishgard Aetheryte. You’ll need to complete most of this questline to unlock Ehll Tou, and you actually need it in its entirety to unlock Charlemend, so you might as well do it all (unless you hate Charlemend for some reason).
As usual, these quests (and the ones to unlock the actual deliveries) are marked with a blue quest marker with a plus sign, so you should be able to find them by just opening your map and looking for that icon.
Below you can see where you can unlock all custom deliveries in FFXIV.
