Like many games these days, this is highly anticipated Baldur’s Gate 3 There are different editions at different prices. Obviously if you are one D&D Superfan, you may be interested in the most expensive model, but what exactly does the extra money get you? And what about the other versions? Let’s break it all down.
When is Baldur’s Gate 3 get out at all?
You wouldn’t be alone if you found it Baldur’s Gate 3The release status is a bit confusing. Although the game reached Early Access back in 2020, the full version of Baldur’s Gate 3 will be released on August 3, 2023 for PC (steam or DRM-free GOG). on the console, The PlayStation 5 version will be released on September 6th
The standard output of Baldur’s Gate 3 will be available for $60 for PC and Mac and $70 for PS5. But there are a few other versions you might want to consider. There is no physical version of the game itself, e.g. B. a plastic saucer with laminated dates that you stick in a slot, but the most expensive edition gets you some tangible extras. More on that in a moment.
Baldur’s Gate 3 deluxe edition
Good News Everyone™: If you have pre-ordered Baldur’s Gate 3 The Deluxe Edition is already available on PC or Mac. sick right?
But if you’re using the PS5, it’ll cost you an additional $10 more than the already more expensive version: so that’s $80.
However you refer to it, here’s what’s included with the deluxe edition:
- Divinity Bard Song Pack
- Exclusive dice theme (themed to match your platform of choice)
- Treasures from Rivellon Pack (select items Divinity: Original Sin 2)
- Mask of the Shapeshifter, Cloak of the Red Prince, Lute of the Merryweather Bard, Needle of the Outlaw Rogue, Bicorne of the Sea Beast
- Adventurer’s Pouch (additional in-game adventure supplies)
- Digital Soundtrack
- Digital art book
- Digital Drawing Sheets
Baldur’s Gate 3: Collector’s Edition
Now for the expensive. For a cool $270 you get everything in the Deluxe Edition plus some physical stuff:
- A custom sticker sheet (stickers bomb that stuff)
- A battle diorama between Mind Flayer and Drow (Put it on your mantelpiece)
- A 160-page hardcover art book (ideal for coffee tables)
- A cloth map of Faerûn (a great prop for TTRPGs, by the way)
- epos D&D character sheets (Pro tip: if you actually want to use these D&D game, photocopy them so you don’t ruin the originals)
- A metal tadpole keychain (You need to remind everyone that it’s a… tadpole)
- Magic the Gathering Booster Pack
- A custom metal D20 theme Baldur’s Gate 3 (I’ll still roll a one all the time)
- A certificate of authenticity (Show your friends, make them jealous)
- Exclusive in-game dice skin based on the Collector’s Edition Metal D20
Sounds good, right? Well I have good news and bad news. Collector’s Edition only available in the Larians online shop, is currently sold out. The good news? You can give Larian your email address to be notified when the item is back in stock. If $270 isn’t too many gold nuggets to put you off the idea, I’d recommend getting a copy as soon as you can as soon as it becomes available again as this seems to be a pretty hot item.
