CD Projekt Red has started development in its next big game Cyberpunk 2077, according to chief executive Adam Kiciński. Speaking in Poland, Kiciński said the team was already working on "the next single-player game." He didn't say me, of course, a new project is in place, but he noted that there are two worlds where CD Projekt Red wants to create games: Cyberpunk and Witcher Universal.
Kiciński was very clear about what the game was, though. “I had said there would be [The] The Witcher 4, ” he said, as reported by Eurogamer. “I said very clearly that Witcher was a genius. On the other hand, we have always emphasized that we want to create Witcher games and an agreement with [Witcher's composer Andrzej] Sapkowski guarantees our rights. "
In December 2019, CD Projekt Red signed a new licensing agreement with Sapkowski after demanding more than $ 16 million in compensation for the developer.
"It's already working but we don't want to commit anymore," Kiciński said. “We will start working on the next game after that Cyberpunk 2077. ”
Cyberpunk 2077 it was originally slated for an April 16 release date, but CD Projekt Red has delayed the game until September. It will be released on Google Stadia, PlayStation 4, Windows PC, and Xbox One. On Tuesday, studio manager Adam Badowksi said on Twitter that CD Projekt Red Submitted Cyberpunk 2077 at "global rating agency."
