With Helldivers 2 Merch you can finally drink a cup of Liber-Tea

Helldivers 2 is one of the biggest (and best) games of 2024 so far, so it shouldn’t surprise you that PlayStation is looking to capitalize on the sci-fi co-op shooter’s success with some new snazzy merchandise, including a mug I might just added to my collection.

Published in February, Helldivers 2 was so popular that too many gamers tried to get into the intense third-person sci-fi shooter action, and the Servers kept crashing on PS5 and PC

. Luckily, those servers were repaired, and since then I’ve put a lot of time into the game, mostly because it makes the combat feel both satisfying and dangerous. I also love satire Starship Trooperslike vibes his world in which democracy is used as an excuse for everything, even for dropping big bombs. (Luckily that never happens in the real world…) I especially love it when my soldier shouts, “How about a nice cup of Libertee!” And now I can get a new mug with that quote on the side.

Merchandise is now available at a few different stores. You’ll find the usual options here, including some nice t-shirts with the game’s logo in various layouts. Nothing too exciting or fun, but nice to have.

The better merchandise is the sillier stuff, including t-shirts with sayings from the game like “Sweet liberty, my leg!” and “Say hello to democracy!” My personal favorite is the mug with the aforementioned “Liber-Tea “-Quote. Now I can drink delicious Earl Gray tea while killing bugs and bots Helldivers 2. The mug costs $20.

There’s also a t-shirt with an Orbital Precision Stratagem symbol and a code on it, which is… fine, I guess. Really, this first round of merch feels a bit rushed, almost as if Sony didn’t expect this game to set the world on fire like it did. In the blog post, the company promises a “larger product range that will be introduced in the next few months”. I hope future products will be a little weirder and funnier. I want a “Level Creek veteran”Hat or a shirt with that strategist hero logo on it. Just give me a t-shirt with a picture of a Charger and “Nope” printed underneath. I would buy that.
