With The Last Of Us, Pedro Pascal becomes the daddy of the internet

Pedro Pascal plays HBO’s emotionally unavailable smuggler-turned-surrogate father, Joel Miller The last of us series, and after years of playing father figures, it seems like the actor is ready to really embrace being a father as part of his brand.

Pascal, who recently appeared at the premiere of HBO’s television adaptation of Naughty Dog’s post-apocalyptic game, was part of an interview with entertainment tonight earlier this week. In the interview, the actor was introduced to one Edited tweet by user @merrinluvrwho called him her “cool whore dad”.

After reading the tweet, Pascal confirmed that this is indeed true. He’s a “cool naughty daddy” to all of us.

Pascal has taken on several fatherly roles during his time as an actor. Joel is of course on everyone’s lips The last of us just started airing on HBO this week. But the actor is also known for playing father figures on shows like The Mandalorianin which he loves and protects a tiny Yoda gremlin, and game of Thrones in which he played Oberyn Martell, who I think at least had a lot of kids. But in the last year or so, the actor has really hyped the Daddy brand, and personally I’m here for it.

In a lie detector test interview with vanity fairPascal was asked who the “bigger dad” was between him and himself moon knight Star Oscar Isaac. He said he’s the “bigger daddy” and noted that he’s older than Isaac, but also admitted that Isaac is a real dad, which he isn’t.

While this is all fun, Pascal also addressed the prospect of real fatherhood and why he enjoys playing dad in an interview with Wired. Pascal told the outlet he doesn’t know if he wants children, but he likes being able to “imagine” fatherhood in roles like Joel. So it is exactly as he tells it vanity fair“Daddy’s a state of mind,” and Joel seems like he’s just cementing himself as the father figure the internet never had.
