The inner war from World of Warcraft has added several new features to the title, including a new talent system that gives us a few more passive skills and customization options. At level 71, you get access to the latest talent tree, which allows you to develop your character even further.
Let’s take a look at what hero talents are available, how they work, and what cool things they can do for your character.
Overview of hero talents
Each new Hero Talent Tree contains 11 points in total, but you must first select the specialization you want to add a talent point to, just like you would for your main specialization. One of the cool features introduced with the Hero Talent Tree concerns hunters, introducing the Dark Ranger Hero Talent Tree, which lets us live out our wildest fantasies with Sylvannas Windrunner.
The number of hero talent specializations to choose from depends on the class you play. For example, Demon Hunters can only choose between Aldrachi Reaver and Fel-Scarred, while Druids can choose between Druid of the Claw, Elune’s Chosen, Keeper of the Grove, and Wildstalker.
However, most classes have two trees to choose from, as they would for their main specialization. It’s also worth noting that each of these hero talent trees is only available to certain specializations. Let’s take the Druid as an example again: Feral and Restoration Druids have the Feral Stalker hero talent tree as an option, while Balance and Guardian Druids have access to the Elune’s Chosen tree. This all depends on your current main specialization, so you won’t have access to all four hero trees as a Restoration Druid.
Each hero talent tree builds on skills you currently have in your toolbox, but also starts with a new key talent, which can either be a new skill or based on a skill you already have. The bottom half of this new tree is known as the capstone talent, which adds power to the key talent at the top or combines all the themes of the tree to create a cohesive build.
Each of these new talents builds on another, and one key difference between this tree and your main talent tree is that they are all unlocked once you reach level 80, so you don’t have to pick and choose what you think is more important.
So go ahead and start spending points in your hero talent trees to make the most of the new skills introduced in World of Warcraft: The War Within.
