While professional wrestling is known for creating occasionally intriguing overlaps with other promotions, This Dark Souls II Stone Cold Steve Austin’s YouTube video of stomping a mud hole out of a hunter’s copse could rival real-world wrestling.

YouTuber burrito head posted a video of her Dark Souls II Aptly named Stone Cold Steve Summon character who breaks the breach in a hacker-hunter grove. They posted a clip of their video on the r/DarkSouls2 subreddit and got a lot of affection from threads of wrestling references mixed in Dark Souls Taste. The post even cross-posted on the wrestling subreddit r/SquaredCircle before it was removed for allegedly being a “Submission with little effort.” tough crowd.

The opening of the video shows the old WWE of the Texas Rattlesnake entrance videos, with Steve Summon being assembled in the character creator before showing cuts of him taunting himself after defeating his enemies. While Steve Austin isn’t considered the most agile wrestler in real life, Steve Summon is built differently. Following the hit of Austin’s theme song, Steve Summon ran like a rabid dog through a forest, used a barrel to slide down a flight of stairs, and erupted a greatsword, which he pulled out of nowhere to defeat his enemies in quick succession.

Much like real wrestling, what really sells the spectacle on display is the noise of the crowd and the commentary from WWE Hall of Famer Jerry “The King” Lawler and AEW announcer Jim Ross. The voiceovers for Lawler and Ross went above and beyond, using old broadcast audio bits from the former WWE commentary team. Burritohead created additional lines of dialogue for the duo to use Uberduck, an AI voice bot, so they could speak properly Dark Souls Color commentary on the slobberknocker beatdown Steve Summon gave the hacker.

The hacker, apparently stunned by Steve Summon’s offense, ran for his life for much of the video. But, alas, the hacker was unsuccessful in crouching behind trees, diving into openings in the ground, and running switchbacks. After leaving the pursuit to Steve Summon, they accepted their fate and threw themselves off a cliff to free themselves from his pursuit. I guess that’s what happens when you work your way into a shoot with Stone Cold Dark Souls II.
